Tis the season...already!

Went to the Santa Parade in Hamilton last night.  The old boy is still looking good and quite perky despite the recession. I think this bodes well for all Bermudian's this Christmas.

The kids had a good time watching all the floats, majorettes and dancers, along with snagging any candy that was on offer.  They made out like bandits!

So yes, I think that it is time to get the Christmas decorations out and make plans for the festive season.

Queen's visit

Bermuda was at it's best and all over the island - the last time we saw this much harmony was after Hurricane Fabian.

How touching to see the crowds lining the roads and wharfs along the way - everywhere were children waving wildly as The Queen  made her way across the island.

Congratulations to all those involved in planning the visit - particularly at Dockyard - fabulous job.

Her Majesty is coming to Bermuda

She really is!

Today I'm off to see HM as she visits the Dockyard to celebrate Bermuda's 400 year anniversary.

There is great excitment around the island for the Queen's visit.  My son Ryan is in the Boys Brigage honour guard at the cathedral and my nieces have been invited to give her posies of flowers.  Who would have thought...?

We live in such interesting times!

The first idea...

My idea is to communicate and comment on things every-day Bermudian.  I'm so lucky that my job takes me all over the island each day looking at property for one reason or another.

I am always awed by the colour of our waters.  I love the way the ocean's blues deepen in the winter and how the water looks more crystal.  In the summer it softens to a laid back turquoise.

Last week I listed this great Convict Bay waterfront townhouse for $715,000 - offering the great Bermuda lifestyle (boating, fishing, swimming all on your doorstep) at an affordable price.

Someone should snap this up and save it for retirement!

Home on the Rock

I totally appreciate living on The Rock.

You are always near the ocean

and the beaches are free.

Ya think that is why we pay so much for real estate here…?
